The pavilion-like space combines glass, steel and timber to evoke the open-air feel of a beach house, with dominant use of dark wooden beams to draw in the hues of Manly’s famous Norfolk pines. “The former acrylic-domed information kiosk has been ingeniously transformed into a very successful building with quite stunning results”, said Design Jury Chairman and Architect, Sebastian Arena.
